Mellanie J. Bartlett

Mellanie Bartlett has been in the field of marketing for 26 years, serving a wide variety of branding, advertising and public relations functions, including nine years as chief legal marketer in-house with two prominent law firms.

Prior to her career in legal marketing, Mellanie managed regional marketing for an upscale national golf community developer and was the Director of Communications for a 4,000 member trade association. While with the association, Mellanie developed the original concept for the Central Florida Home & Garden Show, building it from concept to full execution. She handled all aspects of the show's development, sales, management, branding and promotion. She also served as the Publisher and Editor-in Chief of the association's monthly newspaper. After graduating from college, she started her career as an advertising copywriter for Sea World, moving-on to serve in various creative and account management capacities with several area advertising agencies, including Billie Heller & Company.

The recipient of many marketing-related awards and honors, Mellanie received the “Best Advertisement” award from the national Legal Marketing Association for the Southeast region. In addition, Mellanie has served on the faculty of the Legalworks Marketing Partner Forum, an international conference devoted to client development and she is one of the original founders of the Legal Marketing Association’s Orlando City Chapter.

Mellanie holds a double major, in journalism and radio and television production, cum laude, from the University of Central Florida and a M.A. in corporate communication and technology, cum laude, from Rollins College Hamilton Holt School. Mellanie is an alumni of the Orange County Bar Association's Leadership Law program.

In addition, she is the former President of the Mid-Florida Home Builders Foundation, the charitable arm of the HBA of Metro Orlando and a current Trustee. She is also is a volunteer with the downtown Orlando Christian Service Center, a former member of the Marketing Committee of the Central Florida Zoo and an active ADDITION with the Orange County Public School System. She is also a member of Church on the Drive (formerly College Park Baptist Church) where she serves in the Youth Ministry as a member of the Student Advisory Council. She frequently participates in church youth and mission trips, including a humanitarian trip to help build schools in remote areas of Kenya, Africa.
